I need a system to hold and charge CC monthly for subscription.

It should be a combination of CMS and invoicing.

Logging in is straightforward, but I don't want to hold credit card information naturally.

I need to charge monthly, hopefully forever, with notifications when getting close to expiration to reset card info.

What you need can be implemented with a combination of applications and components.

Here, we use PayPal to charge customers for subscriptions that renew automatically.

You may want to use this package with a more complex system like WordPress to manage content and a custom plugin for invoicing and charging.
